step by step to point automatically save file to drive selected

Automatically (default) each program at your PC (Personal Computer) or laptop save file to drive C:\my document, and this address belong to Drive C. When you install a operating system (such windows xp, windows 7), the Operating system give the space to save your files. You can use another space at different drive such D, E or what ever your named your partition at your hardisk. Here is the problem, when you rPC or Laptop have some problem and your PC has to reinstall, the file at my document and all of your data in drive C can be lost (deleted). And this situation can be nightmare for you. So, how do i have to do to avoid that situation? Firstable, backup your data to another media such flashdisk, burning the data to CD, or external hardisk....but this situation you can do if the operating system still can run and how ithe OS can't be run?

You can do something easily to your program to point each data to be saved not at drive C, for example drive D, or drive E automatically every time you saving file. Go for it, and don't wait until your data is lost first then you turn to this way. Here, step by step to point the data to another drive ( here, i work with MS word programs):

1. open Ms word, klik Office button-word option (see window below)

2. and the you can see the windows

click save (green circle) and you can see some options and you have to change:
a. default file location (green circle), if you see drive C:\, it means the file will be save automatically to this drive

and you have to change the C:\ to D:\, so the next save will be pointed to drive D. For this case, i suggest you to create a folder at drive D to collect all the file into one folder.

or

b. click Browse and choose one drive that you want all save file will be stored

3. finally, click OK

Note:
There's no different setup for other programs such MS Excel., MS powerpoint, MS. Access. You have to open the program first and then ...option...and the do any changes for default file location and click OK

Now, you already change the drive for saved data at your PC or Laptop. You don't have to be worry anymore if your PC or your laptop will be reinstalled because the data will be save. You know why? because your data and the OS located separated drive. Have a nice work
